  • Great question — hypnosis is simply a relaxed, focused state. You won’t be asleep, unconscious, or out of control. You’ll be fully aware, just deeply relaxed — like being in a daydream or just before sleep. It’s a natural state your mind already goes into (think: zoning out while driving or watching TV). In that state, your subconscious becomes more open to positive change.

  • That’s totally okay. You don’t need to come in with a perfectly defined “issue.” You just need a sense that something isn’t right, and a desire for change. I’ll guide you from there. Your mind knows what needs shifting — and together, we’ll help it do exactly that.

  • No. That’s one of the biggest differences with this work. You never have to relive or retell your trauma. In fact, in many cases you don’t even need to name the details. We work with how your mind is holding on to the emotional charge — not the story itself. It’s safe, it’s efficient, and it works.

  • Every person is different, but many clients experience significant shifts in just 1–3 sessions. For deeper or layered issues, I may recommend a short-term plan (usually 4–6 sessions), but you’ll never be stuck in endless weekly appointments. We work until it’s cleared, not just managed.

  • Yes. It’s gentle, evidence-informed, and always done with your full permission and comfort. You are in control the entire time, and I explain everything before we begin. There’s no emotional pushing, no dredging up pain — just cooperation with your brilliant, protective subconscious.

  • Completely different — in intention, process, and purpose. Stage hypnosis is designed for entertainment. It’s about creating a spectacle, often using highly suggestible individuals in a performance setting.

    Clinical hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is a therapeutic tool. It’s gentle, respectful, and deeply collaborative. You won’t be “put under.” You won’t do anything weird. You’ll simply enter a relaxed, focused state — like a daydream — where we can work directly with your subconscious to create the changes you want. You are always in control. Always aware. Always safe.
